Las Vegas

Mom and I left for Vegas on July 22 at 6 a.m. from Parsons. We stopped in Amarillo for lunch - on to Albuquerque, NM where we arrived at 7 p.m. central time and stayed over night. Left Albuquerque at 7:00 a.m. We arrived in Las Vegas around 4ish. On to LA on Friday morning - actually to Harbor City where we stayed until Thursday. We left at 4 a.m. so we could beat the wild LA traffic - back to Las Vegas. Back to Kansas on Aug 1 - we are taking I-70 route back.

We always get together on the 4th at my sister Belinda's house 20+ years. Chris' birthday always made it even more special get together. This year Chris was there in spirit. We all wore our shirts in his memory - and each of us let a balloon loose - including some of his friends. My sister let 19 balloons go in honor of his birthday. We will do this every year from now on to honor Chris. Boy do I miss him! The 4th will never be the same without him!

Father's Day

Bailey got Shannon an iPod shuffle for Father's Day. Shannon has taken up running outside in the mornings - his ipod Video was a bit big to take with him.
